Created in 2011 under direct supervision of AFBBN Founder and President Mr , provides to millions of bodybuilders & fitness athletes, officials, supporters and fans, from all over the world (our statistics have recorded visits from 182 countries) accurate information on events, news, rules, history and, in general, all the activities carried on by IFBB and the affiliated continental and national federations; that build together in a daily basis, the reality of our sport with over a thousand events organized each year, under IFBB logo, in the five continents.
The IFBB is a member of the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) and the International World Games Association (IWGA); is recognized by over 90 National Olympic Committees (NOCs); and regularly participates as a medal sport in IOC recognized Regional Games.
IFBB plays as well an active relationship with scientific and sport international organizations; being conscience of the benefits that a bodybuilding lifestyle can play in the populations health; and the specific applications as ideal anti aging life style for which the best examples are the legion of outstanding athletes that participate in our master categories (over 50�s and over 60�s).
Events for young athletes and female sport are some of our most active programs.

The IFBB was founded in 1946 in Montreal, Canada by brothers Joe and Ben Weider. Ben Weider served as IFBB President from 1946 to 2006.
The current IFBB President is Dr. Rafael Santonja of Madrid, Spain.
The IFBB is registered as a not-for-profit legal entity.
The IFBB currently has 182 affiliated National Federations.
The IFBB organizes each year more than 2,500 competitions at the national, regional, continental and world levels.
The IFBB is recognized by over 90 National Olympic Committees.
